Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about searching for lenders, using your shortlist and asking DealFunder for help.

01What is DealFunder?+

DealFunder is a free property finance lender discovery service. Describe the deal in your own words, answer a small number of relevant questions and receive a shortlist of lenders whose criteria may fit the enquiry.

02Is DealFunder free to use?+

Yes. There are no registration fees, search fees or lender access fees. You can search for lenders and view your shortlist without providing contact details or paying DealFunder.

03Who can use DealFunder?+

DealFunder is designed for property investors, developers, landlords, borrowers, brokers and other property professionals looking for bridging, refurbishment or development finance.

04Can I contact the lenders directly?+

Yes. DealFunder does not gatekeep lender access. Where verified contact information is available, you can contact a shortlisted lender directly and DealFunder will not charge you for doing so.

05How does DealFunder choose the lenders in my shortlist?+

DealFunder compares the information you provide with the lending criteria held for each lender. Lenders that clearly do not fit are removed and the remaining lenders are ranked by how closely their criteria match the enquiry.

06What does Featured Lender mean?+

A Featured Lender has paid for additional visibility. A lender can only appear as featured when it is already eligible for the enquiry. Featured status does not affect the underlying lender ranking or remove any lender from the top ten shortlist.

07Can DealFunder approach lenders for me?+

Yes. You can ask DealFunder to review the enquiry and approach suitable lenders. You will not pay DealFunder a fee. If the loan completes, DealFunder may receive commission from the lender. This does not influence eligibility or ranking.

08Does appearing in the shortlist guarantee that a lender will approve the loan?+

No. The shortlist is based on the information provided and the lender criteria held by DealFunder. Every lender will complete its own assessment, valuation, legal work and credit approval before making a formal offer.

09How does DealFunder keep lender criteria up to date?+

DealFunder reviews lender information and allows lenders to submit corrections through the lender update page. Every proposed change is checked before publication. We aim to review lender submissions within 48 working hours.
